Why work privately?
Working privately allows you to deepen your current yoga practice. It gives you the space to ask questions you may not wish to ask in class. It helps you establish and stay committed to a home practice. And it nurtures your own understanding of the connection between your life and your practice.

How do private sessions work?
We can meet in your home or at my home studio. You'll need a mat, strap, and block to begin. First we'll discuss why you decided to work privately, about what's happening in your practice and in your life. Then we'll work together to develop a practice that addresses your questions and goals.

How many times should we meet?
Although I welcome single sessions, students find it most beneficial to commit to meeting monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly for a certain period of time (say 6 months). This allows us to give ongoing attention to deeper issues as they come up.

Who should consider private sessions?
One-on-one sessions benefit both beginning and advanced yogis. Beginners might appreciate learning the fundamentals of yoga at their own pace, while advanced students will enjoy working on alignment, sequencing, pranayama, meditation and the philosophical aspects of yoga.

What about group private lessons?
Practicing with a group gives us a chance to develop healthy habits with friends, family, or co-workers and to bring more mindfulness and respect to those relationships. Group practice also offers a chance to inspire or be inspired by those around you. These sessions are usually held in one of the participants' homes.
